Type E1 can be used to control maximum or minimum speeds, type E6 is suited to control minimum speeds.
The switches always have hysteresis in switching speed. That means, in speed-up phase, switch is operated at certain, defined speed. When speed slows down again, another switching is effected in an inverse sense, but at lower speed which is about 20% lower than in speed-up phase.
According to the application it is necessary to specify whether desired breaking speed should apply in speed-up phase (type A) or in slow-down phase (type B)
The basic set-up of the rotary speed switches is essentially same to the centrifugal switches for auxiliary phase motors. The significant differences are:
Rotary Speed Switches are suited to control and steering purposes. Breaking speed as per customer’s demand.
